Key Responsibilities
- Loan Administration
- Monitor daily loan transactions, including drawdowns, repayments, repricing, conversions, and support when needed to ensuring accuracy and secure fund utilization.
- Provide administrative support for credit applications and renewals.
- Prepare periodic reports and reminder emails as required including but not limited to reminder reports/ pipeline report/ drawdown and repayment projection report/ insurance and PPSA/ monthly or weekly reports and etc..
- Coordinate loan documents and securities safekeeping and storage in both physical and digital formats.
- Support Regional Head, Business Managers and Loan Officers to organize, maintain, and digitize credit files using CGMS and Imaging when needed.
- Business Development
- Build and maintain relationships with existing and prospective non-lending or low credit risk clients (including but not limited to trade finance clients) to drive sustainable business growth and revenue.
- Cross-sell bank products and services to new and existing customers.
- Execute deposit and account transactions.
- Compliance
- Collaborate with Loan Officer and Business Managers to conduct CRRs and regularly review to ensure compliance with general, anti-money laundering (AML), and anti-terrorist financing (ATF) regulations.
- Collaborate with Compliance, Risk, and other departments to stay informed on compliance, risk, and AML/ATF policies.
- Assist RCM/Risk Champion and prepare the monthly Compliance Confirmation letter.
- Office Administration
- Address customer inquiries in-person, over the phone, or via email, ensuring prompt and professional resolution.
- Manage procurement of office and branch supplies and maintain adequate inventory.
- Assist expense reimbursements for staff, verifying receipts and obtaining necessary approvals in accordance with bank procedures.
- Track and reconcile department expenses, maintaining accurate records and submitting reports to the finance department.
- Prepare meeting minutes.
- Support the organization of department events.
- Other Duties
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by Regional Head to support business team operations.
- To comply with all policies, manual and procedures related to compliance, including but not limited to regulatory requirements of OSFI, FINTRAC, FCAC, CDIC, OPC, CRA.
Key Requirement:
Required Formal Education:
- Post-secondary degree or certification in related field of study.
Work Experience:
- At least 2-year banking and office administrative experience.
Skills:
- Excellent interpersonal skills and willing to meet people;
- High standard of communication skills;
- Pleasant manner in handling customers’ inquiries and complaints;
- Courteous and cooperative attitude towards colleagues and work assigned;
- Complete knowledge of banking products;
- Effective working knowledge in computer software;
- Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines and handle difficult situations.
Special Requirements:
- Good verbal and written communications skills in English.
- Proficiency in Chinese Mandarin and/or Cantonese is considered an asset.
