Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Journeyperson Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in industrial electrical systems, with the ability to interpret complex schematics and blueprints. This role involves installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems across various projects, including construction, renovation, and industrial environments. The Journeyperson Electrician will ensure all work complies with safety standards and electrical codes, contributing to the seamless operation of our facilities.
Responsibilities
- Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems in industrial settings using hand tools and power tools.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to complete projects accurately.
- Work on low voltage systems, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and other automation equipment.
- Assist with renovation and construction projects by installing wiring, outlets, switches, and lighting fixtures.
- Conduct routine inspections to identify potential electrical issues and perform preventive maintenance.
- Follow all safety protocols and electrical codes to ensure a safe working environment for all team members.
- Collaborate with project managers and other tradespeople to complete projects on time and within scope.
- Utilize handyman skills as needed for minor repairs or adjustments related to electrical systems.
Skills
- Proven experience as an industrial electrician or in a similar role with a strong understanding of electrical systems.
- Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams.
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment safely and effectively.
- Knowledge of low voltage wiring, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and automation systems.
- Experience with construction sites, renovation projects, and electrical installation processes.
- Strong troubleshooting skills to diagnose issues quickly and accurately.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
