MK Diesel Truck and Trailer Repair is looking for a hard working and energetic journeyperson or 4th year apprentice to join our busy shop in South East Calgary. This is a full time position with an immediate start.
Duties Include:
- Completion of repair assignments following company guidelines and procedures to meet our customer requirements.
- Read diagrams/schematics and manufacturers repair manuals
- Maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of all truck and trailer systems.
- Supervising and assisting other technicians/ apprentices.
- Be organized and responsible for the proper completion of repairs as needed.
- Use our computer system for time clock, repair orders, inspections, and accessing repair information.
- Working with other technicians.
- Make a conscious effort to complete work according to the timelines set out which may include the need to work overtime and/or shifts.
- Maintain a good work attitude and cooperate with managers and fellow employees in a positive spirit of teamwork.
- Other duties and tasks as assigned.
Education, Skills, and Experience Requirements
- This position requires a red seal holder/journeyperson or 4th year apprentice
- Experience with Volvo, Freightliner and Cummins required
- Engine Diagnostics and some engine experience preferred
- Valid driver’s license, preference given to class 1
- Prior experience working with heavy trucks, trailers, and other commercial vehicles
