Hiring at Metro Liquor's 4th location at 1904 Kensington RD NW.
Shifts are 4:15pm to 12:15am.
Brand new store in a new building.
We are currently hiring a Full Time Evening Wine Sale Associate.
Previous knowledge of wine and spirits is a bonus.
We carry a fantastic craft beer selection, and very large and eclectic selection of Spirts and Wines.
Duties:
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting and assisting customers in a friendly and professional manner.
- Operate cash registers and handle cash transactions accurately.
- Scan and bag items, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Answer customer inquiries and resolve any issues or complaints in a timely manner.
- Maintain a clean and organized checkout area.
- Stocking shelves and maintaining inventory levels as needed.
Requirements:
- Able to lift a case of Wine/Beer
- Fluent in English, both written and verbal.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle difficult situations professionally.
- Experience is a plus, especially in alcoholic sales or retail environments.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Multilingual abilities are a bonus, but not required.
Skills:
- Customer service: Provide friendly, helpful, and efficient service to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Cash handling: Accurately process cash transactions, including counting money, giving change, and balancing cash drawer.
- Sales: Assist customers with product selection, upselling, and promoting recommend items
- Organizational: Maintain a clean and organized checkout area, restock shelves, and manage inventory levels.
- Alcohol sales: Familiarity with liquor products to provide product information and recommendations to customers.
