Overview
We are seeking a skilled Residential Painter to join our team immediately and contribute to transforming homes through high-quality painting and finishing work. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction, restoration, and residential painting. This role offers an opportunity to work on custom homes, utilizing various tools and techniques to deliver exceptional results. Candidates should possess excellent communication skills, time management abilities, and a ready to work attitude. Prior experience with resident painting is a must.
Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, caulking, and priming to ensure optimal paint adhesion
- Apply paints, stains, varnishes, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, spray equipment, and power tools
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute painting projects
- Operate hand tools, power tools, rigging equipment, and carpentry tools as needed for surface preparation and finishing
- Manage project timelines effectively by prioritizing tasks and working efficiently within strict deadlines
- Communicate with supervisor and gm to understand the scope of work and provide updates on project progress
- Maintain a clean work environment by properly storing tools and disposing of waste materials
Skills
- Proven experience in residential painting, construction painting, restoration, or industrial painting
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, caulking guns, and rigging equipment
- Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques relevant to surface preparation and finishing
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with team members
- Effective time management skills to handle multiple jobs simultaneously
- Customer service orientation with a focus on delivering high quality workmanship
- Familiarity with schematics related to industrial or commercial painting projects is advantageous
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a very fast-paced environment
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs
- Ability to work at heights
- Work in a dusty environment and around paint fumes
Job Types: Part-time, Casual
Pay: $22.00-$28.00 per hour
