We are currently seeking an Inventory Controller / Order Processor to join our team on an 18-month contract, with the potential for a permanent full-time position based on performance and business needs.
Position Summary
The Inventory Controller / Order Processor plays a key role in supporting warehouse operations by maintaining accurate inventory records, investigating and resolving inventory discrepancies, and ensuring the efficient processing of inbound and outbound shipments. This position also serves as a point of contact for customers, providing shipment updates and coordinating export bookings.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate inventory records using the company’s warehouse management software.
- Monitor inventory levels and investigate discrepancies to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Process and verify inbound and outbound shipments.
- Prepare receiving reports and related documentation for all inbound freight.
- Coordinate with transportation providers to ensure products are shipped and received on schedule.
- Manage export bookings and shipping arrangements.
- Communicate regularly with customers regarding shipment status and inventory updates.
- Support daily warehouse operations and administrative processes as required.
Qualifications & Skills
- Minimum 1 year of experience in warehousing, inventory control, logistics, or a related field.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Reliable, punctual, and dependable.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Fluent in English.
- Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS); UFOS experience is considered an asset.
