Job Description:
We are seeking a reliable and responsible Home Child Care Provider to care for three children in a private household in Edmonton, Alberta. The caregiver will provide a safe, nurturing, and structured environment while supporting the children’s daily routines and development.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and care for three children in employer’s residence
- Prepare and serve nutritious meals and snacks
- Assist children with personal hygiene (bathing, dressing, toileting as needed)
- Plan and organize age-appropriate educational and recreational activities
- Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home
- Perform light housekeeping duties related to the children (e.g., cleaning up after meals, organizing play areas, children’s laundry)
- Follow daily routines and instructions provided by parents
- Support children’s emotional well-being and development
Requirements:
- Secondary school (high school) graduation certificate
- Minimum 1 year of full-time childcare experience OR completion of a related training program (at least 6 months)
- Experience caring for multiple children is required
- Ability to communicate effectively in English
- Reliable, patient, and attentive to children’s needs
- First Aid and CPR certification is an asset
