We are currently seeking a compassionate and caring Personal Support Worker who is passionate about enhancing the well-being of seniors. This role focuses on providing meaningful companionship and engaging clients in enjoyable activities that promote social connection, independence, and overall quality of life. Duties
As a Support Worker, your responsibilities will include:
- Plan, develop, and implement diverse activities
- Facilitate group and one-on-one activities (e.g., games, music, crafts, exercise, outings)
- Adapt programs to accommodate varying physical and cognitive abilities
- Encourage participation and foster a welcoming, inclusive environment
- Monitor and document client participation, engagement, and responses
Qualifications
Candidates should possess the following skills and experience:
- Previous experience in patient care such as hospital settings, nursing homes, Retirement homes, Home Care is preferred.
- PSW Certification
- Diploma or certification in Recreation Therapy, Activation, Gerontology, or related field (preferred)
- Experience working with seniors or individuals with diverse needs (e.g., dementia, disabilities)
- Creative, energetic, and compassionate approach
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- English / French Language
