Qualifications
- Must have 3 years experience in cabinet finisher position.
- High school diploma or higher
- Previous experience operating a reciprocating line sprayer considered an asset
- Must be able to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment
- Must be adaptable and open to changes. Able to switch priorities and multi-tasking based on shifting work focuses/requirements
- Must be physically fit and able to frequently lift assembled cabinets, heavy components, raw materials that weighs up to 60lbs a piece
-Must have reliable personal transportation for work.
- Previous manufacturing experience considered an asset
- Technical training in carpentry, wood working, cabinet making considered an asset
- Previous experience with wood finishing, painting considered an asset
- Attention to detail. Follow safe work practices. Strong ability to maintain clean/organized work environment in between tasks and at the end of the day is an absolute must!
- Must be able to communicate fluently in English and be eligible to work in Canada
Primary Duties/Responsibilities
- Sand raw wood/MDF doors to prep for finishing. Sand primed/painted/stained wood/MDF part in between finishing coats. Assist in finishing applications and clean-up
- Perform daily routine job duties such as general work area cleaning (workshop, washroom, etc.), machinery maintenance etc.
- Package finished cabinets, parts, products to prep for shipping/transportation
- Clean cabinet parts before application of finishing coats
- Assemble finished parts into final products
- Work schedule 40 hours per week. Monday to Friday 8:00 to 4:30 (with 30 minutes unpaid meal break). Possible extended work hours in evenings and/or weekends if the employee desires
Compensations and Others
- Pay range of 20-26$ per hour depend on abilities and previous experiences
- Benefits offered to team after 6 months of Employment.
- There are natural risks and hazards associated with typical wood working facilities such as dusty environment, power tools, heavy liftings/physical exertions, exposure to paints, solvents and vapors. And as such, safe work practices and proper PPEs will be required at ALL times
