We are looking for a reliable and professional Leasing Specialist to support our team on an independent contractor basis. This role is ideal for someone who is organized, personable, confident with communication, and experienced in leasing, sales, or property management.
The right person will help manage prospective tenant inquiries, coordinate showings, assist with the application process, and support leasing administration to ensure a seamless experience from first inquiry to signed lease.
Role Overview
As a Leasing Specialist, you will support the leasing process for our rental properties by communicating with prospective tenants, coordinating property tours, assisting with applications, and helping convert qualified inquiries into signed leases.
This is an independent contractor role, offering flexibility while still requiring strong communication, follow-through, professionalism, and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond to prospective tenant inquiries by phone, email, and online platforms in a timely and professional manner
- Coordinate and conduct property showings or virtual tours when required
- Follow up with prospective tenants to encourage qualified applicants to move forward
- Assist with lease applications, including collecting required documents and supporting the screening process
- Maintain organized records of tenant communications, applications, and leasing activity
- Update leasing notes and tenant information in property management systems as required
- Assist with lease preparation, document coordination, and administrative follow-up
Skills & Experience
- Previous leasing, property management, real estate, sales, or customer service experience preferred
- Strong communication skills by phone, email, and text
- Professional and friendly manner when speaking with prospective tenants
- Strong follow-up skills and ability to convert inquiries into completed applications
- Comfortable conducting property showings and speaking confidently about rental features
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and manage tasks without constant supervision
- Administrative experience, including data entry, filing, and document organization
- Knowledge of residential leasing procedures is considered an asset

Contractor Details
- Freelance / independent contractor role
- Flexible schedule based on leasing activity and property showing needs
- Remote administrative work with occasional in-person showings depending on property location
- Compensation structure to be discussed based on experience and scope of work
- Contractor is responsible for their own transportation, phone, computer, and applicable business expenses unless otherwise agreed upon
Pay: $250.00-$1,000.00 per month
