Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Project Estimator to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate project cost estimates, analyzing blueprints and schematics, and collaborating with project managers to ensure bids are competitive and comprehensive. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to large-scale construction projects by applying technical expertise and strong project management skills. The Project Estimator will play a vital role in supporting the successful planning and execution of construction initiatives, utilizing advanced construction management software and estimating tools.
Duties
- Review and interpret detailed blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to determine project scope and requirements.
- Prepare detailed cost estimates using construction estimating software such as HeavyBid, ProCore, Bluebeam, and Civil 3D.
- Analyze project specifications, materials, labor costs, and subcontractor quotes to develop accurate bids.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to refine project scope and ensure estimates align with project goals.
- Utilize scheduling software like Primavera P6 for project timeline assessments and resource planning.
- Assist in the preparation of bid proposals, including scope of work, pricing, and supporting documentation.
- Conduct site visits as needed to gather additional information for accurate estimation.
- Maintain organized records of all estimates, revisions, and related documentation for future reference.
Requirements
- Proven experience in construction estimating with a strong understanding of civil and structural projects.
- Proficiency in blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and construction management software such as HeavyBid, ProCore, Bluebeam, Civil 3D, Primavera P6, or similar tools.
- Knowledge of construction processes, materials, labor costs, and subcontractor management.
- Strong project management skills with excellent time management abilities to meet deadlines.
- Ability to analyze complex data sets and develop accurate cost projections.
- Effective communication skills for collaborating with team members and clients.
- Relevant certifications or training in construction estimating or project management is preferred. This position offers an engaging environment where technical expertise meets strategic planning to deliver successful construction projects.
Pay: $48,132.08-$108,267.27 per year
