Our client is looking for an accomplished Senior Superintendent to take a leadership role delivering some of the most complex, large-scale civil infrastructure projects across the Greater Toronto Area (GTA). This position is ideal for a seasoned construction professional who thrives in a hands-on, high-impact environment and is driven by excellence in site execution.
In this pivotal role, you will take full ownership of field operations on major infrastructure builds, such as wastewater treatment facilities, bridges, highways, tunnels, and dams—ensuring successful delivery from start to finish. You will guide teams through complex logistical challenges while acting as a key mentor to support the growth and development of site Superintendents and field staff.
Key Responsibilities:

Site Leadership: Lead and direct all day-to-day site operations, ensuring absolute alignment with project scope, design specifications, and financial objectives.

Team Management: Oversee large-scale, multi-disciplinary construction crews and subcontractors across complex infrastructure environments.

Mentorship & Growth: Mentor and develop junior and mid-level Superintendents, fostering a site culture rooted in accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Safety Championship: Champion a rigorous safety culture through proactive daily planning, comprehensive site inspections, and strategic risk mitigation.

Logistics & Scheduling: Coordinate complex project logistics, sequencing, and resource allocation. Drive short- and long-term construction planning, including detailed lookahead schedules and execution strategies.

Performance Monitoring: Continuously monitor project performance, proactively identifying opportunities for field efficiencies while mitigating potential cost or schedule overruns.

Stakeholder Relations: Maintain strong, professional working relationships with clients, engineering consultants, and key project stakeholders.
What You Bring:

Experience: 15+ years of construction experience as a Superintendent, with a dedicated focus on major civil infrastructure projects (e.g., wastewater facilities, bridges, highways, tunnels, dams, or heavy civil earthworks).

Leadership Depth: At least 5 years of experience operating in a Senior or Lead Superintendent capacity, with a demonstrated ability to manage large teams and oversee multiple field Superintendents simultaneously.

Technical Expertise: Advanced expertise in project logistics, construction sequencing, and high-intensity site coordination.

Interpersonal Skills: Exceptional leadership, communication, and proactive problem-solving abilities.
