Overview
The Prince Edward Legion is hiring experienced temporary part-time/casual servers/bartenders. We are looking for positive and motivated individuals who have the ability to work independently or as a team. Candidates should be able to work a variety of shifts when needed Monday to Sunday, between 10 am and 1:00 am. Hours vary depending on the day and event. Must be dependable and be available to fill in for shifts as required day or evening shifts.
Duties
- Serve alcohol and other beverages and food items in the Legion Club Room and the outdoor patio during summer months.
- Daily opening and/or closing out of Video Lotto Terminals (VLTs), refilling VLT paper, cashing VLT tickets.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization adhering to regulations and Legion policies.
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting guests, taking orders, and addressing any inquiries or concerns. Service with a smile.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak service times.
- Help with inventory management, including receiving deliveries and stocking supplies as needed.
- Follow all health and safety guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
Skills
- Must have Responsible Service Certification.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests, legion staff, volunteers and members.
- Serving experience and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Experience with VLT's.
- Basic math skills.
- Bartending experience is a plus.
