We are looking for an experienced lead cook and kitchen manager to provide our 60 senior residents with a good variety of delicious and nutritious meals and snacks.
Duties would include:
· Meal planning
· Coordinate grocery orders and delivery
· Monitor and maintain inventory levels, minimize waste and control costs
· Adjustment for individual resident dietary restrictions and preferences
· Supervising, training and guiding kitchen staff
· Cooking & baking
· Monitor food quality and temperature
· Serving & clean up
· Maintain clean kitchens
· Ensure adherence to all health & food safety regulations
· Food preparation and planning for special events
Requirements include kitchen management experience, food safety certificate, criminal record check with vulnerable person sector check, basic computer skills including Word, Excel and email. Experience in long term care or assisted living environment would be an asset. Valid driver’s license and your own vehicle for grocery runs.
Shift 7am – 3pm
Pay: $20.00-$30.00 per hour
