Overview
CR Chittick Construction is seeking a skilled and reliable Loader Operator to join our construction and heavy equipment team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating various types of heavy machinery. This role involves working with a crew, crushing and handling aggregate products and supporting overall site operations.
Responsibilities
- Operate loaders, skidsteers, and support equipment and clean up duties
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance checks on equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Load, unload, and transport materials such as dirt, gravel, asphalt, or debris as required by project specifications.
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents or injuries on-site.
- Collaborate with crew to coordinate equipment usage and project tasks effectively.
- Maintain accurate records of equipment operation hours and maintenance activities.
- Support other construction activities as needed to meet project deadlines.
- Transportation required
Qualifications:
- Mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting minor equipment issues and performing basic maintenance preferred
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) preferred for transporting equipment or materials between sites.
- Knowledge of safety standards related to heavy equipment operation in construction environments.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team.
- Physical ability to perform manual tasks including lifting heavy loads and working in outdoor conditions for extended periods.
- Common Core Certified is preferred but not required
- Experience in farm industry or construction is preferred
