Job Summary
The Beacon Food Emporium is a new multi-unit food court in the Petro Canada Hwy 400 Service Centre. We are looking for a friendly, reliable, honest and hardworking person to be part of our team.
The Cleaning & Maintenance Crew will be responsible for the “Face” of the Beacon, and it will be their responsibility to see that the face is always spotless and welcoming for our customers.
Responsibilities and Duties
- The Cleaning & Maintenance Crew will be responsible for keeping the customer and staff areas, inside and outside the building, clean and organized at all times with minimum supervision.
- Indoors – keeping washrooms clean at all times; deep clean floors, walls and other hard surfaces on a regular basis; etc.
- Outdoors – watering plants, emptying garbage receptacles, keeping doorway areas clear of snow and ice in winter, etc.
- Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures
- Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional
- Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information.
- Perform other job duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications and Skills
- Experience preferred in commercial janitorial cleaning
- Working knowledge of cleaning procedures, equipment and products, and is knowledgeable in the safe handling of materials
- Must be able to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 25 to 50 pounds without assistance
- Must be able to reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping
- Stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time
- Energetic, personable, organized, team player
- Ability to work with minimum supervision
- Able to work in Canada - speak, read and write English
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $17.75-$25.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 25 per week
