Head Roaster

Even Coffee is looking for a capable, organized and quality-driven Head Roaster to lead production roasting, quality control and daily operations at our Montréal roastery.
This is a hands-on role with meaningful ownership. You will be responsible for producing consistently excellent coffee, maintaining an efficient and organized roastery, and helping strengthen our roasting and quality systems as the company grows.
We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, communicates clearly and can be trusted to manage production with accuracy and consistency. You may already be a Head Roaster, or you may be an experienced production or assistant roaster ready to take the next step.
Responsibilities
- Execute and manage production roasting
- Cup coffees and maintain quality standards
- Plan weekly production
- Manage green and roasted inventory
- Maintain roast profiles and production records
- Keep the roastery organized, safe and efficient
- Coordinate with café, wholesale and fulfillment teams
What We’re Looking For
- Professional roasting experience
- Strong sensory and cupping skills
- Excellent organization and attention to detail
- Independent, dependable and comfortable taking ownership
- Clear communication and a collaborative approach
- A genuine desire to keep learning and improving
Experience as a Head Roaster is not required. We welcome experienced production and assistant roasters who are ready for the next step.
