Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Trailer Mechanic to join our clients team. This is a permanent full time position. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining, diagnosing and repairing trailers to ensure optimal operational efficiency. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic Industrial environment where technical expertise and problem-solving skills are highly valued. This role will require you to work on new and used trailers. We are seeking someone who has excellent customer service skills as you will be dealing with clients and team members regarding repairs and maintenance needs.
Must have a valid 310J or 310T License
- Prior experience in trailer maintenance is a must
- Strong mechanical knowledge and troubleshooting skills
- Conduct repairs and maintenance or trailer chassis, axles, brakes, transmissions, hydraulics, shocks & struts and suspension systems to ensure safety and compliance.
- Proficiency in working with power and hand tools
- Diagnose mechanical issues using diagnostic tools and techniques.
- Repair or replace faulty components, including belts, gears, motors, and hydraulic systems
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities and repairs performed
- Assist with installation of new equipment and upgrades
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and company policies.
- Proven experience as a mechanic or in a similar maintenance role.
- Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Good physical condition with the ability to lift heavy objects and perform manual tasks regularly.
