- Conduct the assessment of the client's payroll process needs upon receipt of the contract for clients adding a company, merging businesses, undergoing a company name change, or a change in ownership.
- Propose optimal solutions tailored to the client's business context.
- Collect all documents necessary for creating the client file and make changes as needed (employee files, cumulative records, etc.).
- Assist clients with interfacing with other applications (HR management systems [HRMS], time clocks [punch clocks], Microsoft Excel).
- Ensure the integrity of the client file throughout the implementation process.
- Coordinate and perform the quality control required for file delivery.
- Train clients (new or existing) on our various solutions.
- Assist clients during the preparation of their first payroll.
- Document client file specifics before transferring to the support team.
- Provide advisory support (application, technology, and general ledger) throughout the client implementation process.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role
- College diploma in administration, accounting, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
- Minimum of eight (8) years of experience in the complete cycle of Canadian payroll.
- Proficiency in accounting concepts for general ledger interface.
- Ability to analyze various interface needs.
- Capability to manage multiple files simultaneously.
- Strong analytical, synthesis, and planning skills.
- Teamwork skills and communication abilities.
- Excellent command of French, both verbal and written.
- Knowledge of payroll applications (Nethris Internet Suite or EmployeurD [an asset]).
- Familiarity with products such as electronic time clocks, group insurance, etc. (an asset).
- Relevant experience in large-scale payroll implementation projects (an asset).
- Training in Understanding Payroll Principles and Mastering Payroll Legislation from Cégep Ahuntsic or SCP Certification from the National Payroll Institute (INP) (an asset).
CGI is providing a reasonable estimate of the pay range for this role. The determination of this range includes factors such as skill set level, geographic market, experience and training, and licenses and certifications. Compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $60,000–$100,000. This role is an existing vacancy
