Genwave Technologies; we are a Canadian wireless engineering firm that designs, builds, and supports wireless systems, with a specialty in making wireless work inside buildings. We emphasize that newer “green” building materials often reduce indoor signal performance, while the growing use of smartphones/tablets is driving higher demand, so we are expanding to meet that need.
JOB SUMMARY
The Electronics Engineering Technologist supports the deployment, installation, commissioning, and maintenance of optical transport and telecommunications networks for enterprise and service provider customers. The role focuses on DWDM systems, fiber optic transmission equipment, and Layer 0/1 network infrastructure in both new and existing network environments.
The Electronics Engineering Technologist works closely with senior engineers, project managers, and field teams to ensure successful implementation, testing, and service activation of telecom network solutions. The role requires strong hands-on technical skills in network provisioning, troubleshooting, testing, and documentation in accordance with established engineering procedures and customer requirements.
JOB DUTIES
- Design, develop and test power equipment and systems, industrial process control systems, telecommunication, broadcast, microelectronic systems and circuits and networks
