The Department of Psychology invites applications from qualified individuals for a Clinical Supervisor position within the Lakehead University Psychology Community Clinic (LUPCC). This is a part-time, temporary contract position, with flexible dates. The purpose of the Clinical Supervisor role is to increase access to high-quality evidence-based psychological services for health, social service, first responder, and related roles in Northwestern Ontario. Possible services include in-community education, consultation, co-facilitation, and direct interventions through supervised MA/PhD psychology trainees. The supervisor will help determine the direction, scope, and timing of training and intervention opportunities for students and community partners, in alignment with the Department of Psychology’s clinical programs’ goals and direction. The contract provides compensation of $16,000–$20,000 for 200–250 hours of clinical training and supervision, to be scheduled flexibly in response to the needs of the Clinic, trainees, and community partners, and availability of the Clinical Supervisor.
The overall purpose of this position is to support in-community delivery of psychological services while building trainee skills in interprofessional collaboration, evidence-based interventions, clinical documentation, and ethical practice. This role is intended to enhance access to psychological services in Northwestern Ontario through supervised trainee involvement.
The type of clinical training and service delivery will depend on the Clinical Supervisor's practice area(s) and competencies, as well as the needs identified in community settings.
