Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Barista/Cashier to join our team. This role is essential in providing excellent customer service while preparing and serving high-quality beverages and food items. The ideal candidate will have experience in food service, strong time management skills, and a passion for creating a welcoming environment for customers. Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee, tea, and specialty beverages following company recipes and standards
- Operate POS systems, including Micros POS, for accurate order processing and cash handling
- Greet customers warmly, take orders efficiently, and ensure timely service
- Handle cash transactions accurately and provide correct change
- Maintain cleanliness of the counter area, equipment, and dining space in accordance with food safety standards
- Assist with food preparation and food handling as needed
- Restock supplies and ingredients to ensure smooth operation during shifts
- Follow all food safety regulations and proper hygiene practices during food service and handling
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing customer inquiries and resolving issues promptly
Skills
- Experience with POS systems
- Previous barista experience or background in the food industry is highly desirable
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with customers
- Excellent time management skills to handle busy periods efficiently
- Basic math skills for cash handling, making change, and order calculations
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail
- Effective communication skills to work collaboratively with team members
