VMAC is looking for a skilled and detail-oriented CNC Operator to join our VRP team. In this role, you will set up, operate, and monitor CNC machines to produce high-quality precision components that meet VMAC's quality and production standards.
As CNC Operator you will:
- Be capable of working on manual Milling machines, Lathes, Drill presses and grinding equipment.
- Follow drawings when machining products.
- Identify and correct bottlenecks and communicate bottlenecks with Supervisor.
- Improve efficiency and quality of machining processes and products.
- Keep work area clean and organized, implement and maintain 5S organization.
- Follow the production schedule and prioritize daily work accordingly.
- Work/Cross Train on multiple CNC Machines.
- Understand and follow the “Kanban” type systems in current use.
- Capable of measuring to tight tolerances using a variety of measuring devices.
- Complete Dimensional Inspection reports.
- Perform regular maintenance on machines.
- Other duties as required.
What you bring:
- Secondary school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Preferred work experience or post-Secondary related education in CNC Turning and/or Machining Centers.
- Assertive self-starter and excellent work ethic.
- Excellent written English and verbal communication skills.
- High energy level with the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Must be comfortable in a fast-paced work environment and possess good interpersonal skills.
- Able to raise or lower an object (up to 50lbs) from one level to another.
