Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Concrete Finisher to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in concrete finishing, masonry, and related construction activities. This role involves working on various projects including new builds, restorations, and renovations, ensuring high-quality finishes and adherence to project specifications. The Concrete Finisher will collaborate with other trades, operate hand and power tools, and interpret blueprints and schematics to deliver precise results.
Responsibilities
- Finish concrete surfaces by smoothing, leveling, and shaping using hand tools, trowels, and power tools
- Install rebar and formwork according to blueprints and schematics to prepare for pouring concrete
- Operate heavy equipment safely for tasks such as lifting and positioning forms or materials
- Read and interpret construction blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure accurate execution of projects
- Perform masonry work including restoration, caulking, and flooring installation as needed
- Assist with concrete pouring, curing, and finishing processes to meet project deadlines
- Conduct maintenance on tools and equipment; ensure safety protocols are followed at all times
- Collaborate with carpenters, welders, and other tradespeople during renovation or construction projects
- Perform heavy lifting tasks safely while maintaining precision in finishing work
Qualifications
- Proven experience in concrete finishing, masonry, or related construction fields
- Knowledge of mechanical systems, heavy equipment operation, and carpentry techniques
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and schematics for proper project execution
- Familiarity with rebar installation, concrete forming, caulking, welding, flooring installation, and restoration work
- Skilled in the use of hand tools such as trowels, hammers, chisels; power tools including drills and saws
- Strong understanding of safety procedures related to heavy lifting and construction sites
- Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks safely for extended periods
- Construction experience with a focus on renovation or new build projects preferred
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in finishing work
