Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Lead Carpenter to perform and help oversee construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a comprehensive understanding of construction processes, ensuring that projects are completed on time, efficiently, safely and to the highest quality standards. The Lead Carpenter will be responsible for managing on-site personnel, coordinating with subcontractors, and maintaining effective communication with project managers & clients .
We supply all quality branded company shirts, hoodies & jackets. Power tools, hand tools, equipment and have setup tool trailers on each site so you are well equipped to do your job.
Responsibilities
- Supervise daily operations on the construction site to ensure adherence to project timelines and specifications.
- Review and interpret blueprints and schematics to guide construction activities.
- Implement quality control measures to maintain high standards of workmanship.
- Collaborate with project managers and clients to discuss project progress, challenges, and solutions.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor safety compliance and operational efficiency.
- Well Experienced in residential home building & large remodels.
- Able to run a small crew, keeping guys busy and effective.
- Train and mentor site personnel in best practices for safety, efficiency, and quality workmanship.
- Solve minor problems as they come up.
Qualifications
- MUST have drivers license and own vehicle.
- Proven experience as a lead Carpenter or in a similar role within the construction industry.
- Strong understanding of blueprint reading, schematics, and quality control processes.
- Excellent supervisory skills with the ability to lead diverse teams effectively.
- 5-10 years experience in residiential construction.
- Familiarity with budgeting practices related to construction projects.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective collaboration with the management team and clientele
- Possess a good understanding of construction skills and building codes.
- MUST be comfortable with handling a variety of tools.
