This exciting Career Opportunity with our globally recognized freight forwarding client requires experience as a Customs Release Agent.
Summary
You must have a minimum of one year of experience working for a freight forwarder or a customs broker releasing shipments imported into Canada across various modes of transportation.
Duties
- Coordinate and facilitate the release of shipments through customs authorities, ensuring timely clearance.
- Track and trace incoming shipments.
- Maintain accurate data entry related to customs documentation, freight details, and account information.
- Collaborate with internal teams.
- Identify tasks that require special handling, recommend process improvements, and implement resolutions within assigned scope of responsibility.
- Employees may be required to work on assigned statutory or public holidays based on operational needs. In such cases, compensation will be provided in accordance with applicable employment standards legislation and will include holiday pay plus applicable premium rates, or a substitute paid day off, as permitted by law.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in customs clearance.
- Certified Customs Specialist (CCS) Designation, an asset.
- Logistics Education or background will be an asset.
Pay: $41.00-$45.00 per year
