Position Summary:
Gain invaluable clinical experience and fulfill BCACC's practicum requirements by joining our team as a Clinical Psychological Counselling Intern. This internship opportunity will provide hands-on exposure to a variety of counselling modalities, including EMDR, sensorimotor psychotherapy, and neurofeedback. Work under the supervision of an experienced counsellor and gain insights into working with individuals, couples, and families.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in conducting individual, group, and family therapy sessions
- Observe and learn from experienced clinicians
- Participate in case discussions and supervision
- Contribute to research projects and data analysis
- Administer psychological assessments
- Maintain accurate and confidential client records
Qualifications:
- Graduate student in psychology, counselling, or a related field
- Strong interest in clinical psychology and mental health
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Commitment to ethical principles and professional standards
