About the Role
We're a growing residential construction company based in Muskoka, and we're looking for an experienced, all-around tradesperson who can be handed a task or a section of a job and get it done right, without needing to be micromanaged.
This is a hands-on role, not a management role, you won't be responsible for scheduling, materials, or paperwork. What you will be responsible for is the quality and pace of the actual work: framing, finishing, concrete, general carpentry, and everything in between.
Most of the time you'll be working alongside our project leads as part of the crew. When a lead needs to be pulled to another site, you're someone we can leave on the tools with confidence, production keeps moving because you know what you're doing and don't need to be walked through it.
What You'll Be Doing
- Working hands-on across multiple trades: framing, finish carpentry, concrete forming, exterior/interior finishing, general repairs
- Reading and working from plans/drawings, and flagging issues before they become problems
- Keeping work moving and quality on point, even when a project lead is on another site
- Maintaining site safety and cleanliness
- Communicating progress and issues clearly, whether to a project lead or back to the office
- Supporting junior crew members with hands-on guidance
- Using our internal software to clock in/out and track daily job progress
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of hands-on residential construction experience across multiple trades
- Experience working as a lead hand or senior tradesperson who others rely on to get things right
- Comfortable working independently and making decisions on site
- Strong working knowledge of the Ontario Building Code and safe work practices
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation (own truck an asset)
- Own basic hand and power tools
- WHMIS / working at heights certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Based in or willing to commute within the Muskoka region
- Comfortable using a smartphone/tablet for basic job tracking and clocking in/out through our internal software
Pay & Growth
We're offering steady, year-round work and real responsibility, with pay that grows as you take on more.
- Starting range: $32–$42/hour, depending on experience and what you bring on day one
- Growth path: Wage reviews tied to performance and added responsibility, with experienced site leads reaching $45–$50+/hour (or a salaried role, for the right person)
- Opportunity to grow into a more senior operations/project management role as the company grows
Why Join Us
- Year-round, consistent work, no seasonal layoffs
- A company that's growing and wants to grow its people with it
- Real autonomy, we're looking for someone we can trust to run a site, not someone we have to stand over
- We're actively building out a formal perks and benefits package for the 2027 season, joining now means growing with the company as that comes together
Pay: $32.00-$42.00 per hour
