Position Summary
Fam Powder Coating Ltd. is seeking a reliable, motivated, and hands-on Driver & Operations Assistant to join our growing team.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys variety in their work and wants to grow with a rapidly expanding company. The successful candidate will initially focus on deliveries, pickups, and transportation duties while learning our warehouse operations and facility processes. Over time, the role will expand to include warehouse coordination, inventory management, and basic facility maintenance responsibilities.
We are looking for an individual who is dependable, mechanically/electrically inclined, intermediate office computer skills, has experience with Forklift, eager to learn, and interested in developing a long-term career within our organization.
Key Responsibilities
Driving & Logistics
- Perform local deliveries and pickups throughout the Greater Toronto Area.
- Safely operate company vehicles and maintain a clean driving record.
- Load, unload, and secure materials during transportation.
- Assist with scheduling and coordinating deliveries.
- Complete delivery documentation and maintain transportation records.
Warehouse Operations
- Assist with inventory management and stock organization.
- Forklift experience
- Use computer systems to track inventory and warehouse activities.
- Receive, inspect, and organize incoming materials and products.
- Prepare orders and materials for production and shipment.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
Maintenance Support
- Perform basic facility and equipment inspections.
- Assist with minor maintenance and repair tasks.
- Report equipment issues and safety concerns.
- Support preventative maintenance activities.
- Assist with general facility upkeep as required.
Qualifications
- Valid Ontario G driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Forklift experience is considered an asset.
- Comfortable driving throughout the GTA.
- Basic computer skills and willingness to learn warehouse software.
- Basic mechanical aptitude or maintenance experience is considered an asset.
- Ability to lift our packaging.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Reliable, punctual, and self-motivated.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous delivery driving experience.
- Forklift license.
- Previous warehouse experience.
- Experience with inventory management systems.
- Basic maintenance, mechanical, or trades-related experience.
