Job Overview
Tree Care Assistant / labourer / ground crew - 1 permanent part-time position available. 1 -3 days a week, year round employment available. Located out of Yarker, ON 20 min from Kingston
$22-25/h depending on experience and qualifications.
Seeking hard working applicant with good attendance, experience an asset but not required willing to train right candidate.
Duties will include working as part of a crew to safely prune and remove trees, plant trees, and clean up job sites. Moving brush and wood, raking debris, operating equipment such as a chainsaw, stump grinder, small dump trucks, assisting the arborist to safely lower material using a rope and mechanic assist devices, maintaining equipment, processing firewood etc. Landscaping, gardening, lawn care, and other related duties.
Skills
Required:
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform strenuous physical tasks
- Basic knowledge of tools and equipment
- Strong work ethic and reliability
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- G class or better with no accidents
- Have or be willing to obtain within first month of employment standard first aid / CPR
- Have or be willing to obtain within first month of employment minimum necessary PPE (PPE allowance is provided)
