Our WINNIPEG BRANCH has an exciting opportunity for a DISPATCHER to join our team!
What You Will Do:
The Dispatcher is responsible for coordinating the activities of FGI products/shipments while maintaining strong relationships with drivers and coordinate them to successfully service FGI customers. You will work with your team members to deliver a high-quality customer experience that exceeds customer expectations through the following tasks:
Coordinate and dispatch drivers running multiple routes daily (flatbeds and vans)
Plan and adjust runs in real-time to maintain delivery commitments (3-hour window from order to delivery)
Communicate clearly and professionally with drivers, customers, warehouse staff, and management
Monitor vehicle locations via fleet tracking software (Geotab) and proactively address delays or route issues.
Track and follow up on high-priority and time-sensitive deliveries
Ensure all deliveries are logged, documented, and invoiced correctly
Work closely with the warehouse team to confirm order readiness and help manage volume overflow
Enforce driver expectations, route cut-off times, and time-on-site limits
Report exceptions, missed deliveries, or chronic issues with clear notes and suggestions
Continuously improve route planning and dispatch processes to reduce delays and maximize delivery success
Other duties as assigned
What We Require:
2+ years of dispatch experience, ideally in last-mile, high-volume environments, required
Experience using Geotab Elite Extra or similar fleet tracking software preferred
Background in logistics, transportation, or warehouse coordination preferred
Must have open availability
Proficient with Microsoft Office and other standard office equipment
Excellent customer service skills
Strong communication skills, including both written and verbal
Team-oriented, adaptable, with a commitment to safety excellence
