Position Summary:

Responsibilities:
- Prepare and bake dough for bread items (bread, rolls, buns, etc.)
- Operating bakery equipment such as mixers, ovens, sanitation, and cleaning equipment
- Learn appropriate technique for bakery items
- Must be able to work with minimum supervision
- Prepare a diverse range of bakery delights, including bread, cakes, pies, cookies, and rolls, with precision and attention to visual detail
- Keep display cases and other merchandising areas stocked and properly faced at all times in accordance with departmental standards
- Keep work area and display areas clean, clear and in good order through regular cleaning and sanitizing
- Practice and promote company policies and ensure compliance with all safety procedures
- Wrapping, packaging, and pricing all products accurately
- Showcase merchandise in an inviting and orderly manner, enhancing customer appeal
- Serve customers with enthusiasm
- Effectively address customer concerns, striving to find optimal resolutions
- Fulfill any additional responsibilities assigned by department and store managers with diligence and dedication
Desired Skills/Experience:
- Previous bakery experience considered an asset
- Knowledge and understanding of bakery products
- Good working knowledge of food quality, hygiene and sanitation, kitchen safety and food presentation
- Use of commercial kitchen equipment and safety practices
Physical Environment:
- Must have the ability to regularly walk or stand for extended periods of time
- Must regularly lift and/or move up to 18kg (40lbs.)
- Will involve frequent repetitive hand actions
- Day shift, evening shift, weekday and weekend availability
