Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and dedicated 310T Apprentice to join our team. This entry-level position offers hands-on training in heavy equipment and automotive repair, providing an excellent opportunity to develop technical skills in a dynamic environment. The ideal candidate will be eager to learn, safety-conscious, and possess a strong work ethic. Prior experience in dealership settings, heavy machinery operation, or mechanical work is a plus but not required. This role is essential for supporting maintenance, repair, and operational functions across various industrial and construction equipment.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, and farm machinery
- Learn to interpret schematics and technical manuals for diagnostics and repairs
- Operate power tools and hand tools safely to perform tasks involving assembly, disassembly, and repairs
- Support the inspection of equipment for safety issues and proper functioning
- Participate in heavy lifting and material handling activities using appropriate equipment
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment at all times
- Collaborate with experienced technicians to gain practical knowledge of automotive repair, HVAC systems, welding, electrical systems, and industrial equipment
- Assist in the installation and maintenance of mechanical systems across various machinery
Requirements
- Dealership experience or background in automotive repair is preferred but not mandatory
- Mechanical knowledge with familiarity in schematics, electrical systems, or HVAC systems is advantageous
- Experience operating heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, or industrial machinery is a plus
- Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and perform basic welding tasks safely
- Strong mechanical aptitude with a willingness to learn new skills in maintenance and repair techniques
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks regularly
- Excellent customer service skills are desirable for interacting with clients or team members professionally
- Prior experience with farm machinery or industrial equipment is beneficial
- Must demonstrate safety awareness and adherence to all safety guidelines during operations
