Delivery Driver - Building Supplies

Gunther’s Building Center is a leading supplier and distributor of interior finishing products, serving the Calgary marketplace for 70 years. We are proud to have one of Calgary's largest inventories stored at our centrally located facility. GBC caters to single and multi-family residential building contractors and developers in the Calgary and surrounding area. We are currently searching for a full-time Delivery Driver of Building Supplies
Position Description
Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, this role is responsible for the delivery of products to customer job sites, driving large box trucks and unloading product at the jobsite. Typical product includes pre-hung interior doors, baseboard, casing and sheets.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
· Ability to deliver products to customer sites in a safe, prompt, and courteous manner
· Must be able to lift and move heavy product, equipment and supplies on a daily basis
· Maintain and secure a clean, organized, and safe warehouse/work environment
· Required to have working knowledge of basic carpentry or handyman practices
· Remove snow in the winter months to maintain a safe work environment
· Must be able to manage time effectively to ensure deliveries are met
Qualifications
· Must possess a clean driving abstract with a VALID class 5 driver’s license and provide a clear drivers abstract
· Required to have a strong attention to detail and an ability to interpret and process data accurately
· Must be highly attentive to numbers, details and organization
· Must have the ability to multi-task and manage changing priorities while maintaining a professional and positive attitude
· Demonstrated success as a strong team player that takes pride in their work and always maintains a professional image
· Experience with counter-balance forklift is considered an asset
· Knowledge of basic carpentry or handyman practices is considered an asset

· The successful candidate will be reliable and have the ability to work with minimal supervision
· The successful candidate will have good physical and mental fitness in order to perform well in a demanding, fast paced environment
Education
· Possess a High School education and/or equivalent work experience

Salary: $19.00-$22.00 per hour
