CANNING LINE OPERATOR
Full-time | On-site | Production & Packaging
Reports to: Packaging Production Manager
---
You're the person who makes sure every can that leaves our line is something we're proud of. From the first rinse to the last seam check, you own the canning line — keeping it clean, running, and making great product. If you're someone who speaks up, solves problems, and takes real pride in their work, we want to hear from you.
---
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Run the canning line for your full shift — managing tank pressures, monitoring product and seam specs, filling lid drops, and keeping everything moving to capacity.
- Sanitize and clean the line before startup and perform CIP at end of shift — because a clean line is a quality line.
- Diagnose and fix small issues in real time, and partner with Maintenance on scheduled PMs — greasing, tightening, bearing checks, die and chuck replacements.
- Ensure the Domino printer is correctly stamping lot codes and best before dates on every can.
- Perform QA checks — seam specs, pasteurization temperature checks, and can inspections — and keep all monitoring records accurate and up to date.
- Report near-misses, incidents, and any out-of-spec product or equipment to the Packaging Production Manager promptly and clearly.
- Managing product loss and flagging issues if they arise
---
WHAT YOU BRING
- Experience operating or maintaining production or packaging equipment
- Understanding of GMP requirements and food or beverage sanitation standards
- Mechanical aptitude — you notice when something sounds off before it becomes a real problem
- Sharp attention to detail in quality checks and record-keeping
- A positive, team-first attitude — you communicate openly and don't let issues sit
