Position Summary
We are looking for a creative, organized, and energetic Marketing Content Creator & Events Specialist to help tell our story, strengthen our brand, support our team, and execute our marketing initiatives.
In this role, you will showcase our people, projects, customers, and community involvement while ensuring our marketing efforts are executed consistently and professionally. You will split your time between our Kitchener office and the field, requiring a flexible weekly schedule to capture real-time content as projects and events unfold.
Key Responsibilities
CONTENT CREATION & BRAND STORYTELLING
- Field Media Capture: Travel to active jobsites and facilities to capture high-quality photos and videos of installations, service calls, company events, and team activities.
- Short-Form Video Production: Produce and edit high-engagement short-form video content, including reels and promotional videos.
- Culture & Recruiting Content: Create employee spotlights, customer testimonials, and culture-focused media that highlight our workmanship and company values.
- Asset Management: Maintain a highly organized digital library of marketing photos, videos, and digital assets.
- Content Planning: Assist with content brainstorming, scheduling, and managing content calendars across the organization.
MARKETING ADMINISTRATION & DESIGN SUPPORT
- Channel Management: Schedule and publish content across social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and LinkedIn.
- Brand Collateral: Design social media graphics, event signage, project signage, flyers, brochures, recruitment materials, apparel, and fleet vehicle wraps.
- Digital Support: Assist with website content updates, internal/external email marketing campaigns, and customer communications.
- Reputation Management: Support review generation initiatives and coordinate project timelines with external vendors, printers, and advertising partners.
EVENTS & INTERNAL COORDINATION
- Event Planning: Plan and execute customer support events, community initiatives, and internal Velocity company events.
- Logistics & Coverage: Coordinate marketing materials and event logistics while capturing visual content before, during, and after events.
Qualifications
Required:
- Strong photography, videography, and digital content creation skills with a proven portfolio.
- Proficiency with modern video editing software.
- Excellent written communication, verbal communication, and time management skills.
- Valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle to travel between company locations, jobsites, and events.
- Ability to work a flexible weekly schedule based on content opportunities and event requirements.
- Ability to work primarily in-office out of Kitchener, ON (remote work is subject to manager approval).
Preferred:
- 1+ years of experience in marketing, communications, content creation, or a related field.
- Experience using modern graphic design tools and software.
- Strong knowledge of current social media trends and best practices.
- Experience with website content creation and Content Management Systems (CMS).
- Prior experience planning and coordinating local events or corporate initiatives.

Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour
