Job description:
Casket Depot is Ontario's factory-direct retailer of caskets, cremation urns, and granite monuments, serving families across the GTA since 2001. We're a small, established team looking for a reliable, well-rounded person to join us in a hybrid front-office and warehouse role.
This is a varied position — no two days are exactly alike. You'll be the first point of contact for customers at our Scarborough showroom while also keeping our warehouse organized and orders moving.
What you'll do:
- Greet walk-in customers and answer phone and email inquiries with professionalism and compassion
- Process orders, prepare invoices, and maintain accurate records
- Receive, inspect, and organize incoming inventory shipments
- Prepare products for delivery and pickup, including moving caskets and monuments
- Assist with product photography, website updates, and basic image editing
- Keep the showroom and warehouse clean, safe, and presentable
What we're looking for:
- Ability to move heavy objects 50lbs+ safety
- Comfortable with computers; experience with Photoshop or similar editing software is a strong asset
- Valid G driver's licence — required
- Mandarin and/or Cantonese is an asset
- Forklift experience is an asset
- Professional, patient, and tactful — many of our customers are going through a difficult time
- Dependable, punctual, and comfortable working independently in a small business environment
