Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated, qualified Montessori Casa Directress for a Casa classroom. The ideal candidate is passionate and knowledgeable about the Montessori philosophy and committed to fostering an engaging, respectful, and dynamic learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Guide and Facilitate Learning – Implement Montessori pedagogy to support each child’s individual development, fostering independence, concentration, and a love of learning.
- Prepare and Maintain the Classroom Environment – Ensure a well-organized, beautiful, and developmentally appropriate learning space that encourages exploration.
- Observe and Assess Students – Monitor progress, document observations, and provide tailored support to meet the needs of each child.
- Collaborate with a Team – Work closely with co-teachers, administration, and support staff to uphold school values and deliver a high-quality program.
- Communicate with Parents – Foster strong partnerships with families through regular updates, progress reports, and parent-teacher meetings.
- Commit to Professionalism – Uphold the highest standards of care, responsibility, and ethical teaching practices while maintaining a positive and respectful classroom culture.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Montessori Diploma (MACTE-accredited) – Only qualified candidates will be considered.
- Registered Early Childhood Educator is an asset
- Standard First Aid with CPR-C and AED Certification
- Clear Vulnerable Sector Check – Required prior to employment.
- Strong Team Player – Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, administration, and parents to support student growth.
