Position Summary
Reporting to the Maintenance Technician, the Maintenance Tooling Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing production equipment and facility systems to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable operations. This role also supports continuous improvement initiatives, preventive maintenance programs, and building maintenance activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect, monitor, and verify the proper operation of equipment, instruments, and systems.
- Diagnose malfunctions, troubleshoot issues, and repair or adjust equipment as required.
- Remove and replace defective components and parts.
- Develop, maintain, and update preventive maintenance records and schedules.
- Perform and coordinate required maintenance activities and repairs to ensure equipment reliability.
- Maintain accurate maintenance documentation and ensure the company’s maintenance program remains current.
- Provide technical support, guidance, and recommendations to equipment operators regarding the proper use of machinery and systems.
- Participate in the planning and execution of maintenance shutdowns and preventive maintenance activities. Participate in special projects and continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing equipment performance, reliability, and operational efficiency.
- Perform routine facility maintenance and minor building repairs.
- Work with equipment manufacturers and technical service providers when specialized support is required.
- Identify and recommend improvements to equipment, processes, and maintenance practices.
- Ensure all work is performed in compliance with company policies, quality standards, and health and safety regulations. Contribute to a safe, organized, and efficient work environment.
Qualifications
- Diploma in Electromechanics or Industrial Mechanics, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Valid Driver License
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience performing building maintenance and repairs in a manufacturing environment;
- Strong computer and math skills required;
- Experience with pneumatic and hydraulic systems, welding, and an ability to use power tools
- Orientation for teamwork and safety;
- High level of autonomy, attention to detail and respect of deadlines;
- Ability to manage priorities, organize work to be done and work under pressure.
Pay: $35.04 per hour
