Here’s where you come in
Reporting to the Production Supervisor you will be responsible for full cycle preparation and painting of all parts received from the Weld Department, and ensuing timely delivery of parts to our Assembly Department. In this integral role, you will be working with a great group of people, collaborating with team members in various departments. You’ll be involved in transporting material around our bright, warehouse, and helping to build products that make a real difference in people’s lives.
Your responsibilities would be
- Wear necessary PPE and follow all safety procedures
- Ensure compliance for all company policies, procedures
- Ensure compliance in following written or verbal work instructions provided by Production Supervisor
- Be proactive in all aspects of Safety, and Quality, and be a participative and value-added team member
- Perform duties as assigned in a safe manner, as prescribed by SWIs and SOPs, and maintain a clean and safe work area
- Communicate with peers in a positive manner to prevent conflict
- Organize parts through dynafile station in accordance with priority lists
- Use hand grinders such as dynafilers to deburr and smooth parts received from weld
- Visually inspect parts to ensure proper quality
- Measure parts received from the Dyna-file station
- Load parts onto racking and use overhead crane to hoist rack into a dip tank to prepare the steel for the oven
- Pushes racks into oven and set appropriate timers
- Use powder coating paint in various colours
- Follow multiple schedules and co-ordinate parts effectively
- Regularly communication with both the Weld department and Assembly department
- Comfortable with fit testing for respirator when painting (no facial hair)
We are looking for someone who
- Has a positive attitude
- Can use hand tools, and power tools safely
- Proficient in the use of measuring tools
- Can follow instructions from supervisors and leads
- Has good hand eye coordination
- Has great attention to detail
- Work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
- Able to stand, bend, squat for extended periods of time
Broda provides on the job training and continuous coaching in every department
It would be fantastic if you
- Had previous experience in a warehouse or industrial/manufacturing environment
- Have experience with metal working, assembly and fabrication
- Have experience powder coating and painting
