Overview
We are seeking a friendly and attentive Part-time Server to join our dynamic restaurant team. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about providing exceptional guest experiences and who have a background in food service or hospitality. The Part-time Server will be responsible for delivering excellent customer service, taking orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring guest satisfaction in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, professional service throughout their visit
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Micros POS
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining presentation standards
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cashiering and cash handling duties
- Ensure proper food safety and sanitation standards are maintained at all times
- Assist with food preparation and kitchen duties as needed
- Manage time effectively to serve multiple tables efficiently during busy periods
- Maintain cleanliness of dining areas, tables, and service stations
- Provide guest services by addressing questions, special requests, or concerns promptly
Requirements
- Previous food service or restaurant experience preferred; familiarity with the food industry is a plus
- Knowledge of POS systems, especially Micros POS, is desirable
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction
- Ability to handle food safely and maintain sanitation standards in accordance with health regulations
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and billing accurately
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy shifts
- Ability to work well in a team environment and communicate effectively with colleagues and guests
- Flexibility to work part-time hours, including evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed
- Prior experience in serving, cashiering, or hospitality roles is advantageous
