Director Of Operations - Civil Construction
Vimex Contracting Ltd. is an established civil construction company seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee company operations, lead project and field teams, support estimating, and help drive continued growth.
Key Responsibilities
· Oversee day-to-day civil construction operations across multiple projects.
· Lead and support project managers, superintendents, forepersons, and field crews.
· Review and assist with estimates, tenders, budgets, schedules, and project planning.
· Monitor productivity, costs, quality, safety, and project performance.
· Coordinate labour, equipment, materials, subcontractors, and project priorities.
· Maintain strong working relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers.
· Identify operational improvements and opportunities that support company growth.
Qualifications
· Minimum 5+ years of experience in civil construction.
· Proven estimating and tendering experience.
· Strong people-management, leadership, and communication skills.
· Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities.
· Strong understanding of budgets, schedules, production, and cost control.
· Self-starter who is accountable, organized, and comfortable making decisions.
· Interested in helping grow the company and improving how work is delivered.
Compensation
· $140,000–$170,000 annual salary, based on experience.
· Company vehicle or vehicle allowance.
