About the Role
We are looking for a skilled and creative Social Media Specialist to support our digital marketing efforts and help strengthen our online presence. This position is ideal for someone who understands how to create engaging content, manage multiple social media platforms, and use digital marketing tools to grow brand awareness, increase website traffic, and improve customer engagement.
The successful candidate will have experience with social media strategy, content creation, SEO, e-commerce marketing, paid advertising, and performance tracking.
Key Responsibilities
As a Social Media Specialist, you will be responsible for:
- Planning, creating, and managing social media content for platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter/X, LinkedIn, and other relevant channels.
- Developing social media strategies that support brand awareness, customer engagement, website traffic, and marketing goals.
- Designing visual content, including graphics, short videos, and promotional posts, using tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Scheduling and publishing posts through social media management tools such as Hootsuite, Buffer, or similar platforms.
- Monitoring social media activity, responding to comments and messages, and helping build an active online community.
- Using keyword research and SEO best practices to improve content visibility and organic reach.
- Reviewing campaign performance through Google Analytics, social media insights, and other reporting tools.
- Working with the e-commerce team to promote products, offers, and campaigns across digital channels.
- Keeping up with current social media trends, platform updates, algorithm changes, and digital marketing best practices.
- Supporting Facebook Ads and other paid social media campaigns to reach targeted audiences and improve campaign results.
- Proofreading posts, captions, and marketing materials to ensure they are accurate, clear, and consistent with the brand voice.
Required Skills and Qualifications
The ideal candidate should have:
- Strong understanding of social media marketing and digital marketing principles.
- Experience creating and managing content for major social media platforms.
- Proficiency with Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Experience using scheduling and management tools such as Hootsuite, Buffer, or similar platforms.
- Knowledge of SEO, keyword research, and content optimization.
- Familiarity with Google Analytics and social media reporting tools.
- Experience with Facebook Advertising or other paid social media platforms.
- Understanding of e-commerce marketing and online sales strategies is an asset.
- Strong proofreading and editing skills.
- Ability to review data, identify trends, and adjust campaigns based on performance.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well with a marketing or e-commerce team.
