Fort McMurray Journeyman – Commercial, Industrial & Service Work
Division 26 Inc. is seeking motivated and skilled Electricians to join our growing team in Fort McMurray . We specialize in commercial, industrial and service-based electrical projects. Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, fixtures, and equipment in commercial buildings, industrial, residential properties, and service environments.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to plan and execute efficient installations.
- Utilize hand and power tools safely and effectively to complete tasks to industry and company standards.
- Troubleshoot electrical issues and perform diagnostics on systems, including low-voltage and control wiring.
- Collaborate with other trades on renovation, retrofit, and new construction projects to ensure seamless project delivery.
- Conduct inspections, perform testing, and verify code compliance and safety of all electrical installations.
- Provide guidance, mentorship, and training support to apprentices or junior electricians when required.
- Respond to service calls in a timely, professional manner, maintaining clear communication with clients and dispatch.
Qualifications:
- Journeyman Electrician or registered Apprentice (1st–4th year).
- Valid driver’s license and clean abstract.
- Strong understanding of CSA, CEC, and Alberta Building Codes.
- Ability to work independently on service jobs or collaboratively on larger projects.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Safety-focused mindset with current certifications (e.g., CSTS, WHMIS, Fall Protection considered assets).
