Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Parking Lot Supervisor to oversee daily operations and ensure efficient management of parking facilities. This role involves supervising staff, maintaining safety standards, and coordinating parking activities to provide a smooth experience for visitors and employees. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, mechanical knowledge, and experience with moving equipment such as forklifts. Prior experience in commercial driving or freight handling is a plus.
Duties
- Supervise parking lot staff to ensure proper parking procedures and safety protocols are followed
- Coordinate the movement of vehicles and equipment within the parking area, including the use of forklifts when necessary
- Monitor traffic flow and address any congestion or safety concerns promptly
- Conduct routine inspections of parking facilities to identify maintenance needs or safety hazards
- Assist with vehicle maneuvering, including moving freight or large vehicles as needed
- Communicate effectively with team members and visitors to address questions or issues
- Maintain accurate records of vehicle movements and incident reports
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies
Requirements
- Mechanical knowledge related to parking equipment and vehicle handling
- Experience operating forklifts and other moving machinery safely and efficiently
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) or equivalent driving credentials preferred
- Prior experience in freight handling or logistics is advantageous
- Strong communication skills for effective team coordination and customer interaction
- Ability to manage moving vehicles and equipment in a busy parking environment
- Physical ability to perform tasks involving moving, lifting, or maneuvering large objects or vehicles
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to supervise staff and enforce safety standards
Pay: $18.00-$19.00 per hour
