Starsky Fine Foods is seeking an experienced Meat Department Manager for its Hamilton location at 685 Queenston Road.
Responsibilities Include:
- Overseeing the day to day operations of the department.
- Merchandising, quality control, maintaining cleanliness and overall organization of the department.
- Staff management and training, scheduling, and customer service.
- Assist customers with special orders and oversee the special orders system.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Previous experience managing a meat department
- Excellent communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills.
- High level of organizational skills and task prioritization.
- The ability to plan, control and organize to ensure departmental objectives are meet daily.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment and solve problems effectively.
- Superior understanding of market trends, suppliers, vendors and the meat industry at large.
- Ability to manage, motivate, coach, and develop employees to meet business objectives.
