We are currently looking for a skilled Fitter / Welder to join our growing production team in Puslinch, ON.
What You’ll Do
- Fit and weld large custom fabrications including tanks, drums, frames, and structural steel
- Perform Flux Core Arc Welding (FCAW) and other welding processes (GMAW, SMAW, GTAW)
- Lay out and prepare workpieces; operate cutting, grinding, and bevelling tools
- Carry out dimensional inspections using verniers, tapes, micrometers, etc.
- Assist in heavy assembly and equipment testing
- Handle materials safely and operate forklifts, hoists, and overhead cranes
- Follow safe work practices in compliance with EHS standards
- Collaborate with team members and work independently when needed
- Complete other related tasks as assigned
What You Bring
Required:
- 5+ years experience in custom steel fabrication/welding
- Proven expertise in stainless steel welding and heavy fitting
- Canadian Welding Bureau (CWB) Certification
- Forklift Certification
- Skilled in reading engineering drawings and welding specs
Preferred:
- Overhead Crane Certification
- Red Seal Endorsements (Welder or Metal Fabricator)
- WHMIS, First Aid & CPR Certification
Materials & Techniques
- Weld Positions: Flat, Horizontal, Vertical, Overhead
- Materials: Structural Steel, Stainless Steel, Plate
- Welding Processes: FCAW, GMAW (MIG), SMAW (Stick), GTAW (TIG)
Requirements
- AEC / DEP or Skilled Trade Certificate (Required)
- Must be able to reliably commute or relocate to Puslinch, ON before starting work
