Job Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Health Care Aides to provide high-quality support and care to residents in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, and home care settings. Duties
- Assist residents with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Administer medications following prescribed schedules and safety protocols
- Support residents with dementia or cognitive impairments through specialized care techniques
- Provide companionship and emotional support to promote mental health and social engagement
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with feeding when necessary
- Perform light housekeeping tasks including cleaning resident rooms and common areas to maintain a safe environment
- Monitor residents’ health status, report changes, and document care provided accurately
- Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) to promote independence and dignity
Skills
- Prior experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or home care is preferred
- Knowledge of senior care, dementia care, and working with individuals with disabilities
- Ability to administer medications safely and follow healthcare protocols
- Strong caregiving skills combined with patience, empathy, and excellent communication abilities
- Capable of performing light cleaning and meal preparation tasks efficiently
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Flexibility to adapt to changing resident needs and care plans
