Hakili Community for Sustainable Development is a nonprofit organization committed to expanding access to coding and AI ethics education for youth from underrepresented communities. This summer, we're building sustainable infrastructure to bring quality coding education to schools and community programs across Ontario and Quebec.
About the Role
The Education Outreach & Partnership Coordinator will develop and execute the sales and marketing strategy for Hakili's YesWeCode curriculum. You'll identify potential customers, create compelling sales materials, conduct outreach to educators and program coordinators, and build a pipeline of schools and organizations ready to purchase and implement our curriculum. This role combines sales, marketing, relationship-building, and content creation.
What You'll Do
Sales Strategy & Business Development (40%)
- Research and identify target customers (schools, community centers, after-school programs, nonprofits)
- Develop curriculum sales strategy and pricing packages
- Create prospect list and prioritize outreach targets
- Conduct outreach via email, phone, and LinkedIn
- Schedule and conduct product demos (virtual or in-person)
- Present curriculum to educators and decision-makers
- Track leads and opportunities in CRM system
- Set up pilot partnerships with early adopter organizations
Marketing & Content Creation (35%)
- Create sales collateral (pitch deck, one-pagers, curriculum samples)
- Develop email marketing campaigns and templates
- Write website copy for curriculum sales pages
- Create social media content showcasing curriculum and programs
- Develop case studies and testimonials from pilot workshops
- Design promotional materials (digital and print)
- Create blog content about youth coding education and AI ethics
- Produce video testimonials and demos
Partnership Development (20%)
- Build relationships with educators and program coordinators
- Network within education and nonprofit communities
- Identify collaboration and partnership opportunities
- Coordinate with schools and organizations for pilot workshops
- Represent Hakili at virtual networking events or webinars
- Engage with relevant online communities (educator forums, LinkedIn groups)
Data & Reporting (5%)
- Track outreach metrics (emails sent, meetings booked, conversions)
- Maintain customer relationship data in CRM
- Report on sales pipeline and progress
- Analyze campaign performance and engagement
- Provide recommendations for curriculum improvements based on market feedback
Who You Are
Required:
- Post-secondary student or recent graduate in business, marketing, communications, education, or related field
- Age 15-30 (CSJ eligibility requirement)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building abilities
- Self-motivated and comfortable with outreach and sales
- Experience with social media marketing
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace
- Comfortable creating presentations and marketing materials
- Passion for youth development and social impact
Assets:
- Sales, business development, or fundraising experience
- CRM experience (Salesforce, HubSpot, etc.)
- Email marketing platform experience (Mailchimp, Constant Contact)
- Graphic design skills (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite)
- Video creation/editing for marketing
- Knowledge of coding, STEM education, or AI ethics
- Existing networks in education or nonprofit sectors
- Bilingual (English/French)
