Canter Coffee is a small town café, thoughtfully done.
We are a women-owned business with two locations in Brock Township. A cozy café in Cannington and a coffee trailer in Sunderland. We focus on high quality coffee, fresh baked goods, and creating a space that feels warm, welcoming, and community driven.
As we continue to grow and expand, we are looking for someone who wants to grow with us, not just fill a role.
The Role
We are hiring a Full-Time Barista and Shift Lead who can confidently run shifts, deliver an exceptional customer experience, and support day to day operations across both locations.
This is a leadership leaning role, perfect for someone who loves coffee, thrives in a fast paced environment, and takes pride in doing things really well.
What You Will DoBarista and Customer Experience
- Prepare high quality espresso based drinks, matcha, and specialty beverages
- Maintain consistency, speed, and attention to detail during busy periods
- Create a welcoming, memorable experience for every customer
Shift Leadership
- Lead shifts with confidence and professionalism
- Support and guide team members during service
- Handle cash, balance tills, and ensure smooth daily operations
- Open and close the café or trailer independently
Operations and Support
- Restock inventory and maintain clean, organized workspaces
- Assist with prep including baked goods, syrups, and cold brew
- Uphold Canter Coffee standards across both locations
- Communicate effectively with management and team members
What We Are Looking For
- Previous barista or café experience preferred
- Natural leadership ability and strong communication skills
- Reliable, responsible, and detail oriented
- Comfortable working independently and making decisions
- A genuine love for hospitality and community
- Flexible to work at both Cannington café and Sunderland trailer
